Discover Halkidiki

East of Thessaloniki, Halkidiki reaches into the Aegean Sea like Poseidon’s trident. Its three distinctive peninsulas are often called the three “legs” of Halkidiki.

First leg

Kassandra

The western peninsula is the liveliest and most developed, known for sandy beaches, pine forests and cosmopolitan seaside villages.

Second leg

Sithonia

The middle peninsula feels wilder and quieter, with pine-covered landscapes, sheltered coves and clear turquoise water.

Third leg

Mount Athos

The eastern peninsula is home to the autonomous monastic state of Mount Athos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by dramatic nature. Under the traditional avaton rule, women are not permitted to enter Mount Athos; sightseeing vessels remain at least 500 metres from the shore.

Our wedding will take place on Kassandra, the first leg of Halkidiki.
